A Bit About Alexis...
I’m a Professional Counselor Associate in Oregon and [pending] a Mental Health Counseling Associate in Washington, with a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Grand View University and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Human Services. I have always been passionate about providing empathetic listening, genuine support, and a space where people feel seen, heard, and understood.
I work primarily with adults who are navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, low self-esteem, relationship concerns, life transitions, and stress. My therapeutic approach is grounded in person-centered and trauma-informed care, while integrating evidence-based modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), emotionally focused therapy (EFT), solution-focused therapy, and mindfulness-based practices.
In my work, I prioritize creating a space that is culturally responsive, LGBTQIA+ affirming, and rooted in acceptance and compassion. I believe therapy should feel both safe and collaborative, where you can express your emotions freely, explore new perspectives, and find both insight and growth.
No matter what you’re going through, I strive to meet you with warmth, non-judgment, and curiosity. I believe healing happens in connection, and I’m here to walk alongside you every step of the way.
