A bit About Banin...
I am a Marriage and Family Therapist intern, with a specialization in addictions, currently pursuing my Master’s degree at Lewis & Clark College. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Biology from George Mason University. Coming from a collectivist background, I hold a deep appreciation for the ways culture, community, and identity influence our relationships and well-being.
My therapeutic approach is collaborative, culturally responsive, and rooted in relational connection. I draw from Structural Family Therapy, Contextual Therapy, and Attachment Theory to help clients understand patterns, address systemic influences, and build stronger bonds. I believe in creating a space where your story is honored and where all parts of your identity can be seen without judgment.
I am especially passionate about working with BIPOC individuals, couples, families, and adolescents, as well as those navigating family trauma, PTSD, anxiety, life transitions, addiction, racial identity challenges, racism, and suicidal thoughts. I strive to integrate both warmth and honesty in my work, offering compassion while also inviting meaningful change.
Alongside therapy, I am committed to advocating for racial and social justice, amplifying marginalized voices, and helping clients reclaim their agency in systems that have historically silenced them. Whether you are seeking a place to process pain, strengthen relationships, or navigate identity and belonging, I am honored to walk alongside you in your journey.
