A bit About Emily...
I am a Marriage and Family Therapy intern, currently pursuing my master’s degree at Lewis & Clark College. I received my bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Redlands. My therapeutic style is explorative, thoughtful, collaborative, and grounded in genuine respect.
My work is influenced by Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and Attachment Theory. All three of these approaches inform how I help individuals, couples, and families build deeper insights into the personal and relational dynamics shaping their lives. Together, we can identify patterns that make you feel stuck and begin creating new ways of relating that support healthier, more authentic connection.
I aim to create a therapeutic space that is culturally attuned and affirming. I am mindful of how systemic pressures shape individual challenges. I am committed to practicing from a trauma-informed stance that honors personal autonomy, especially for LGBTQ+ clients and survivors of trauma.
I work with clients of all ages. My work often centers on intergenerational trauma, life transitions, identity exploration, relational concerns, neurodivergence, self-esteem, anxiety, and depression.
As a therapist, I view my role as someone who creates a space for your story to unfold — a place to reflect and grow. I provide insight, tools, and support to help you cultivate healing. I see healing as not a process of remaking yourself, but a gentle practice of observing oneself with compassion, releasing what no longer serves, and walking through life with clarity and inner ease. I look forward to the opportunity to join and support you on your journey.
