A Bit About Jasmine...
Hello, welcome! My name is Jasmine Hankerson (she/her). I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Washington State and a Professional Counselor Associate in Oregon. I am a Black-Indigenous, Neurodiverse Woman with a unique multicultural perspective on mental health and therapy. I hold a Master's degree in Marriage, Couple and Family Therapy from George Fox University and my Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Portland State University.

I am trained in systemic family therapy modalities with specialized training in trauma-informed care. I provide counseling for all couples (e.g. monogamy, non-monogamy & polyamory), children, families/parents and individuals; gender diverse folks, all ethnicities, all body sizes and types of abilities. My therapeutic approaches include Internal Family Systems (level 1 trained) for adults/teens; Emotionally Focused Therapy for relationship systems, Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Play therapy for children/adolescence. My approach is informed by and integrated with Intersectional/Feminist, Queer, Relational, Attachment, Psychodynamic, Person-Centered and Humanistic theories. I am sex-positive and BDSM/kink-aware. I hold specialized training in treating survivors of sexual abuse, through Washington Coalition of Sexual Assault Programs.

I am passionate about supporting the well-being of under-represented, oppressed and marginalized individuals, families and communities. My therapeutic framework is person-centered and culturally sensitive, meaning you are accepted in this space as you are; unconditional and judgement free. I encourage folks to develop and maintain self-actualization skills; to acknowledge, accept and embody all the parts of your internal landscape and identity. Therapy with me is collaborative process where we can have fun (laugh a lot or maybe cry), learn and engage in new ways to support your mental health!
