A bit About Marta...
I am a Clinical Mental Health Counseling Intern, currently pursuing a master's degree at Seattle University. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies from Macalester College in St. Paul, MN. I believe that as we move toward connection, we move toward healing.
I support individuals who are trying to disrupt the patterns of disconnection and overwhelm in their lives. You may feel isolated and stuck in a cycle of anxious thoughts. You may feel hopeless with the state of the world, and struggle giving yourself grace in a world that tells us we are not enough. Our work together will emphasize building connection as healing, reducing isolation and building agency and self-compassion in a world that tries to take that away.
Together, we collaborate to address your concerns in ways that feel meaningful and effective for you. My approach is grounded in relational-cultural theory, informed by feminist and anti-oppression counseling. I work with people navigating trauma, identity exploration, anxiety, depression, life transitions, relational disruptions, and building self-esteem.
Healing does not happen in isolation. As a queer counselor-in-training, I believe the healing process must intentionally include your whole self. I look forward to being a part of your journey."
