A bit About Marta...
I am a Clinical Mental Health Counseling Intern, currently pursuing a master's degree at Seattle University. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies from Macalester College in St. Paul, MN. I believe that moving toward connection and relationships moves us toward wellness. Healing does not happen in isolation. I also believe the healing process must intentionally include your whole self.
I keep both my own identity and that of the client I am working with at the forefront of our work together, creating a non-judgmental and compassionate environment. Our work together should be grounded in your needs; together, we will collaborate to address your concerns in a way that works best for you.
My approach is grounded in Relational-Cultural Theory, which centers clients in their specific context. I specialize in working with LGBTQ+ individuals and am passionate about working with clients navigating life transitions, identity exploration, confidence building, stress management, loss, anxiety, and depression. I work with clients thirteen and older.
